Engineered Filtration's vacuum dehydration systems have multiple uses in biodiesel production. Among them are water removal from base stock / vegetable oil, methanol recovery from the finished biodiesel and water removal from the finished biodiesel product. Future plans include testing water removal from glycerin and methanol recovery for re-use in the process.
Oil is heated to a safe temperature and exposed to vacuum conditions where water and or methanol is flashed off, condensed and removed from the system. Our vacuum dehydration systems utilize a very large surface area and deep vacuum which provides fast and efficient purification.
Our methanol recovery system is designed such that methanol is recovered independent of water and other contaminants. Our purification systems will get your biodiesel to ASTM specifications quickly without the need for extensive labor.
We custom design to the application so your investment is maximized. Particulate removal, various vacuum sources and a wide variety of instrumentation is available. We offer rental equipment as well. |
